Back N Da Hood sound so good
They won't set bail but I wish they would
I P-R-A-Y every D-A-Y
Asking to get back to the B-A-Y
But every court date they keep detaining me
On punk ass charges they keep arraigning me

I know we're brushing dangerously close up to the one-year anniversary of my last post (which I admit would be a nice testament to my laziness), but I just couldn't resist.
God, so much has changed in the past year. So much, in fact, that I've decided to compile it all into one list. Enjoy!
Things That Have Happened To Colin In The Past Year or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love 2010
1. I totally had to have my colon removed. (I knoe, seriously, wut?)
2. That totally sucked.
3. I started a new website along with my cousin (Admiral Snuggles). Check it out...It's so awesome at times that I get light-headed thinking about it.
4. I bought the URL to www.hipsteralert.com, but I'm not sure what do with it. Any suggestions?
5. I bought a fedora and, yeah, it's really pretty awesome and bumps me up to at least a 7.
6. I got a raise at the newspaper!
7. I lied about getting a raise at the newspaper!

When I'm out in N.Y. boy it's blunts and Phillies,
When I'm out in L.A. boy it's wraps and swishes.
Now Blood walk to this, now Crips walk to this.
Now throw it up, raise it up for that gangster s***.

Super-Deep Confessions and Questions #1
* Do people still use Live Journal?
* How do color-blind people drive? Do they see the colors on a street light? Is it shades of gray for them?
*There was this stretch during third grade where it was really popular for guys and girls at my school to make little wrist and ankle bracelets out of string.
* Remember the old guy from the New Mickey Mouse Club? Is he dead?
"I got Britney Spears first!"
* You know how there are identical truck stops on each side of a turnpike? I've always liked to think that the workers at, say, each side's McDonalds met up in the middle of the road once a month for an all-out brawl for Ex. 245 supremacy.
* Remember when it was kinda queer to wear a bike helmet as a kid?
* What's your favorite Nelly song? I always liked that Must Be The Money song. You know you enjoyed his pop-friendly rhymes and his backwards jerseys. Admit it and be free.
* I write a weekly baseball/softball column for my paper and I haven't covered a baseball or softball game going on two weeks. I like to think no one's noticed.
* Remember Orbitz soda? What were those things floating in it?
"Orbitz: The Drink With Balls."
* What's the white equivalent to the high-top fade?
* Last night, I drank two cups of coffee at 10pm to stay up and then drank two cups of Sleepy Time Extra tea at 1am to go to bed.
* I'll probably do that again tonight.
Cheers,
[Colin]

He's gonna take you back to the past
To play the sh**** games that suck ass
He'd rather have a buffalo
Take a diarrhea dump in his ear
He'd rather eat the rotten a******
Of a road killed skunk and down it with beer
He's the angriest gamer you've ever heard...

It's amazing what you can get done when you're not playing video games.
Things have been so weird at my paper lately. Since it's the spring season in Northeast Ohio, constant rain has really jammed a tree branch in the spokes of the baseball and softball season. Because area fields are in a constant state of flooding, Colin doesn't have any games to cover. Because Colin doesn't have any games to cover, Colin gets paid for a day's work without doing much *actual* work.
"Excellent!"
...Not so much.
Because of my windfall of free time, I've been really digging into my back catalog of games. I'm a bit of a story nerd (It's a dark shame that dates back to my "shopping in the husky isle" days), so most of the games I haven't gotten to are crazy Japanese role-playing games of the 40-50 hour variety.

Anyway, long story short, I finished Metal Gear Solid 4 last night (*great* game, by the way. I really want to make a post that touches on what makes that such an interesting experience...So, if my past is any indication, 2012 should be a good look-out date for that one) and realized that I don't really have anything left to play.
Let me tell ya...I got so much done today because of that.
